The Slow Adventure: A Year Without Trees

Artica Svalbard, the world's northernmost artist residency program, is situated in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. In October 2021, Artica hosted The Slow Adventure project - a collaborative initiative between artist Floortje Zonneveld and students of the Svalbard Folkehøgskole. The Slow Adventure aims to explore the world we live in and foster a collective artistic research project. Through various workshops and site-specific experiments, the project opens up the senses, ignites curiosity, and inspires moments of discovery. This film offers an in-depth look at the project and its eventual outcome - an audiowalk that showcases the artistic and sensory exploration of the Svalbard landscape.
